Florida Weather At Christmas, Which Is Better, gulf Or Oceanside ?
Our family has inherited 10 different time share weeks in florida. We know that we are going to choose the week that includes christmas. Which side of florida is more likely to have the warm sunny weather we desperately crave at that time of year ? We have a choice of either Fort Myers, Daytona or Pompano. We’ve been to the pompano beach area and it didn’t really strike our fancy too much so we’ve pretty much eliminated that choice, unless someone can convince us otherwise. Our main priority to come south and merely thaw for the week we are there. Laying around in the sun and doing nothing is what we most crave so each city’s amentities don’t really come into play. We just want to come down and get away from holiday madness and thaw out. So which side of Florida is usually warmer and sunnier that time of year ? Thanks for your input.

Daytona is way north of Pompano Beach, so it’ll be cooler. The always informative Weather Underground site says the December weather in Ft Myers and Pompano Beach is about the same, highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s, but Ft Myers gets less rain.
If you didn’t like Pompano, might as well try Ft Myers and see if you like it better.

I agree with John. If you’re looking for the warmest weather, stay as far south as possible. Ft. Myers will be alot warmer than Daytona Beach which is approx 4.5-5 hours North.
Enjoy!
